- 2015 Explorer
Hi everyone, new here to ford forums. I have a 3 week old 2015 explorer and so far I love it. I settled for a base model, and thought I could upgrade over time myself. The first step for me is mounting an aftermarket GPS somewhere in the vehicle. I have a Garmin Nuvi 2555, that I will use for now, till I can afford to go to Crutchfield for their Navigation stereo with installation to reassemble the stock unit.
Questions I have: what is the pocket above the radio on the top part of the dash for? Is there a beanbag base that will fit in it? Or is there a way to put a bracket on it?
Also, what the heck is the little round opening on the console that sits beside the cup holders? seems wasteful.
I would also consider a mirror mount or over head console mount. Any ideas?
thanks!!
