2016 Explorer Limited
Hey all

I am hoping you could send some advice. I am just very desperate at this point

I have the 2016 Explorer Limited with the Sony system, I guess it is the upgraded one with the sub. Not very impressive. So I've decided to do a simple install - JL C2 Components in the fronts, JL C2 coax in the rear, AmpPRO AP4FD21 for the stereo to add one JL 5 Channel Amp, and JL Stealthbox to replace the stock sub. Simple. Plug and pray.

What I have done so far is removed the rear seats, the passenger seats, the glove box to get to the firewall and install the amp, removed practically everything, removed the stereo both the LDC and CD player. One issue I have is the car won't start to move it around and make space to open and close doors. This is one is freaking me out and my wife. I figured once I put the car back to together, it should start. Hopefully. Still freaking out, though.

Issues so far. I have no clue how to rewire the speaker wires to reach the amp. I thought I could use the wire holes already there for the front and rear just to re route some new speaker wires to the amp. Turns out those holes are plugged up with connectors with no room to place through new speaker wires. No way to get around them unless I drill hole. My other thought was just to use the existing speaker wire from the stereo and run the wires from the front to the rear to the amp. I just don't know which wires to cut to do that, or if that is a possibility.

Those are my main issues. Any ideas?

I finally put the car back together and managed to get the car working again. Wife is pleased and not freaking out anymore. Just can’t figure out how to rewire the speakers to the amp. Should I use the existing wires from the car or use completely new ones? And if new ones, how do I get them from the door to the inside of the car? The rubber gap thing is blocked by an electrical plug.
