2018 PIU EB at Detroit auction on 4/4/2018

For anyone interested, there is a <8K mile 2018 PIU EB with decent equipment (BLIS/RKE/Center Console/Police Idle/Cloth Rear Seat/Carpet/Alum Wheels/Auto Headlamp) scheduled for Manheim Detroit on 4/4/2018 (Factory auction/Ford dealers only).

Judging by the non exiting fog lights it has the 2017 front end. Did they not change that on the 2018 PIU?

Front end is carryover, I assume because they have optional aux front lighting for the fogs.

Likely the Ford Police Advisory Board gave Ford a recommendation that they do not change the front end of the Police units for two model years knowing a complete redesign is coming in 2019 as a 2020 MY. Too many Agencies have purchased lighting products that fit the 2016-2018 body and adding a third design for only two years would add huge cost.

Fords Factory Police Mod Center (TDM) also doesn't want the added complexity.

Plus the aftermarket lighting manufacturers also didn't want to have to tool up new lights just for two years.
