Anyone ever experience this before? My 2018 Sport with 60,000km on it downshifts to third under hard acceleration, hits 120km/hr @ 5000 rpm…and stays there…won’t shift up and won’t break 120. There is no My Key set up. No code. 🤔 (This started right after another Ford dealer replaced the alternator which had seized as well as the serpentine belt that snapped when the alternator seized. Service there was brutal so I'm trying another Ford dealer this time. 🤞)

It's at the dealership right now for this as well as the roof rack recall.

Welcome to the Forum.
I'm guessing that you verified that there is no MyKey setting and that you are able to see MyKey in your settings?
I don't know what else could be limiting the speed. Changing the alternator should have affected this.

Would it being in Sport shift mode have anything to do with it?

Just spitballing here, I have a PIU. No sport mode there.

Sport Mode wouldn’t limit you to 70mph.

It wound up being an air line/hose which had come loose from the intake. All fixed now...no charge!

I'm guessing it was throwing a DTC but not enough to turn on check engine light. This is where ForScan can prevent a trip to dealership. I'm guessing they found something else and plugged it in 😂

Some high end limp home mode? 🤣

Was it this hose? Mine came undone while doing plugs and I drove around for months, wondering why it felt down on power and was doing some stuttering.
