Hopefully someone can help clear up part identification for my explorer master window switch. I need to replace the master window/mirror switch on the driver side door. My owners manual shows a switch with a double button at the top above the mirror adjustment (PN SW8444). Apparently this version has the extra "power folding mirror" control. But my vehicle has a switch with a single long button taking up the space of those two buttons (PN SW8443). The funny thing is, if I download the owners manual for 2022 Police Interceptor, it shows a picture and describes how to operate the SW8443 that is in my vehicle! I don't have the police version so I am confused why I would have the interceptor part and not the one shown in my owner manual. I don't believe I have power folding mirrors (at least there is no control to operate such). The SW8443 interceptor part costs 3X the price of the SW8444 shown in my owner manual. So I need to be sure and order the correct part.

Sorry for being so long winded and for no photos. I tried to include pics but couldn' get them to show.
Thanks for your patience :)

I guess the question I should ask is "Can I replace my existing SW8443 with the less expensive SW8444 that has the extra button?

You would know if you had automatic folding mirrors. Mine fold every time I lock the vehicle and unfold when you open the drivers door or hatch.
