2023 Ford Police Interceptor Utility - Assigned Car help with lights

Good afternoon,

I was recently assigned a 2023 model Ford Interceptor Utility with the Hybrid engine. Is there a way to turn off the daytime running lights? I see nothing on the light swithc nor in the settings on the vehicle.

You’ll have to use Forscan to disable them, or cut the wire going to the headlight that activates the DRL

Do you know if the Dark Car mode turns them OFF or not. Do you have that on your PIU?

I do not believe I have that option sadly. No matter what I do, when it is in drive, they are on.

I think I've read that Dark Car mode can be turned ON using FORScan. I did a Google search and found this but all it talks about is interior lights.

I found this post that mentions setting up Dark Car but did not see subsequent posts that verified it worked.

I just did another search and found that DRL can be turned OFF using FORScan. Check out the posts.

Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Disable?

Hi Everyone, We have a few 2020 PIUs and were told there is no way to disable the DRL. Local Ford dealers advised that the vehicles must come from the factory with the option to disable DRLs. Is anyone aware of a workaround for this? Thanks
