So after 20K miles, my rebuilt 302 gave up. Looks like coolant got in some how and something broke inside. Worst case, rod broke, but it could be something much simpler. The internal knocking doesn't sound as loud as the first time I broke a rod and it'll turn over fine(ish). The block seems fine externally.

Because I don't have anywhere to store the Explorer while the engine is pulled and worked on again, I'm going to have to get rid of it. What I'm wondering is if there is anyone in the Raleigh, NC area interested in buying it off me whole. The mods are listed in my signature, the only other thing the truck needs is new tie rods... which I was going to actually do this weekend. Otherwise, it's most likely going to end up being scrapped. I just don't have the time or storage space to start parting it out.

If your interested, ask questions here. Or if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

If you have a shop put a new motor in for you there would be no need to have it stored anywhere, although it could be pricey depending on if you would get it rebuilt, have a new motor installed, or a junkyard motor installed. If you scrapped it all you would get is 250 bucks about, maybe less. I would sell it cheap before scrapping it.

I'll take your MAC intake if you part it out.
