I am looking at getting a set here soon, but was wondering if anyone knows if these will rub. I am planning on getting 22x9.5 with 305/40/22 Pirelli's. I know they will fit with the up and down, but does anyone know if they will rub with the wheel fully locked to the right or left? Is it as simple as bolt them on and go for a drive, or do I need to do something special?? Please let me know guys, as you info is highly appreciated, thanks....L8R

I have 305 40 22's (toyo proxes S/T's) on my 2002 Limited 4x4 - Very minor modifications needed to eliminate a bit of rub when turning all the way going forward... no rub occured in reverse oddly enough. The offset of the wheel must be exactly right however.. there is about a 1/4th inch clearance at the front point (which has never rubbed, regardless of suspension travel). If the wheel was offset further out, it would rub. I believe mine have a +35 offset. In the past, I had a set of 295/45/20's on some 20x9's.. which did not rub whatsoever and needed no modification. 22x9.5's look a lot better though! Fills up the wheel well and gives the truck a lowered look even though not lowered.

I have 22's on my 02 Limited running 265/35/22 tires no rubbing at all

I gots 22's too. I dunno all the specks but no rubbing on mine. Its not dropped though but I might lift it a lil and throw 24's on it with some modding of course. Check out cardomain and look at their explorers. There is a guy from japan with a highly modified explorer on 24's might make u wanna go bigger, just a suggestion but according to my friend the biggest you can go with no mods is 22". But yea no rubbing on mine.
