247 hp from supercharged 4.0

this is what our 4.0 ranger did this week end on the chassie dyno with a good dyno tune. you can see more of the info on the ranger board. this was acheived at only 5000 rpm. it would have made a bunch more if we had reved it higher. this was made with only 8 pounds of boost showing on the boost gauge at 5,000 rpm. we hope to have 270 to 280 reving it higher plus with a intercooler this puppy will make some serious power. we cant wait for the power out put of the new motor we will be putting in. 400 at the wheels will be real nice.

What kind of S/C is it, and if it's a roots, how are you going to intercool it?

I have about 220-230 at the wheels now, hope to make quite a bit more after the rebuild in a few years.

it is a vortech you have seen the truck before i belive on my webpage. we are planning on a front mount spearco intercooler. the truck only had 7.5 at 5,000 so we are shure we can get a lot more out of it. the truck has 95,000 miles on it you just need right supporting hard where and you can make the same power. you want get a chip mass and injectors and you should be up there beating the heck out of every one.

Yea, when I do the rebuild I'm gonna get a MAS, injectors, new chip, and a cam. I'm probably gonna use the mild cam for better idle and city manners, but I'm looking forward to substantial gains.

X-Box is taking his 347 Explorer to Morosso this week, I think Weds., I was gonna go but I'm going up to my cousins house with my mom and sister in Orlando right after my class at 12:00, so that sucks.

Did you fix what was wrong with the Troll? You were having problems with the studs snapping or something like that right? Good Luck!
