$28920 for 2015 Ford Explorer Base 4WD, right time & right price?

Since 2016 model comes, my local dealers have some promotions for 2015 model now. I checked some recent shared price about 2015 Explorer from autopriceshare and one local dealer matches this price($28920).
The MSRP for 2015 Ford Explorer Base 4WD is $32384. Is it a fair price for 2015 model? Does 2016 Explorer have a big advantage compared with 2015 one?

Check out the Ford.com website to get info on the 2016. It looks like it starts at $33,595 for the 3.5L AWD. The 2016 Base has new engine options and a few other changes from 2015. According to the 'Build and Price' for 2015, the Base 3.5L AWD is $31,595.

Well, I just traded mine in (2013 Limited) for $28k. I'd think you're getting a good price. Caveat Emptor, though.

I just traded in my 2014 Sport with 30448 miles for $35000. I just saw a base 2015 Explorer special price of less than $25k. Here it is...

That's a FWD model. I believe the OP was looking at the AWD which would add to the cost.

That is a very good price OP... I just got this Sport, LOADED, for $38500 out the door Monday! Before I was looking at 2013 models with 35K on the odometer for that price... Then I went to check out new ones and came with "Ellen" we call her.
