so I bought a second explorer. It hasn't been started for 3 months. But was always fine before then. The guy had it parked up due to it having a leaky trans fluid cooler. It was started and driven from time to time but not for 3 months.
now, it cranks and try to start using starting fluid but won't fire up and tick over.
so far I've topped the fuel up, checked fuel pump relays and fuses, checked inertia switch and voltages at that point and checked there is fuel in the lines.
seeing as I don't have a fuel pressure guage I can't tell if the fuel pump is stuck or not or if I have loss of pressure somewhere.
is there any suggestions on how I can do more tests without the pressure guage? ive tried listening for the fuel pump but I live near a busy road and am somewhat tool Def from all the years as a builder.
