I am wondering if people who have replaced their cargo area with replacement (non OEM) carpet could chime in and tell me how they went about with the area behind the seats?
The section I am referring to is not the seats themselves, however the area that resides just behind them, that flip up when the seats are in the upright position.
In the photos, you will see that there is a plastic strip sewn into the carpet that "snaps" onto these "lids". I had ordered my replacement carpet from StockInteriors.com (http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCarpet.asp?Itemid=2595&MakeId=34&ModelId=225), and pulled out my carpet the next day to get a good head start.
After finding this, I had contacted them regarding it, and they say that the replacement carpet will NOT consist of these plastic strips. So my options are....
- Keep order placed, and find someone to sew them into the replacement
- Cancel order and find another site to purchase from
- Perhaps a suggestion from here will help me out with what they had done themselves
Thank you very much for your input.
