2wd to 4wd with sas

how much would it cost for me to make my X 4wd and have a dana 44 front end? what would it cost for parts and labor combined?


any help is greatly appreciated.

it depends on what parts are available, and who will be doing hte work.... since it sounds as you dont know much, all i can say is start doing research.....

Just to ballpark it for you. If you have it done by a shop, I would put the SAS with axle around $4000-$5000.

The tranny and t-case stuff for the 4wd conversion, I would think about +/-$1500, but I don't really know.
 






I wouldn't even try. Buy a 4WD. In the long run, it'll be cheaper.

I've heard it's easier to do a SAS with a 2wd, than a stock 4wd for the 2nd Gens. Contact CoryL @ CRL Customs. He did a kick @ss job with Robb's SAS and he's on your side of the planet.
 






It may be easier to convert it to 4wd in that year from the 2wd.

The front end might go in faster and then all you would need is a 4wd tranny and a t-case.
