I bought a 3" Pro Comp suspension lift, 3" spindles, w/ AAL and 4 ES3000 shocks to go on my 1996 2wd XLT 4dr. What I am wondering is, will I be able to fit 31x12.5 Thornbirds on 15x10 AR Black Daytonas. If not what would you suggest to make these fit. I am not off road allot, but occasionally when I am not deployed I go off roading here on base. Thank you for all your info.

Heck yeah. You should be okay with the 12.50s on 10s. Most people easily run 31x10.50s with only 1" of lift. So I think 3" would be enough to clear the wider tires. If anything you can doing a little torsion twist to get another 2" of lift. (Which I recommend anyways). That way you can go straight to 32/33s and bypass the little 31s. :D

Welcome to the site and search around for more info on torsion twists (TT) and body lifts! You can have a sky-high X in no time.

Thanks section 525. I look at your x and I looked harder and I have a picture of your x on my computer screen wallpaper and a pin up of your x inside of my truck that I stay in right now, its a big ole LMTV 5ton with a hugh sleep in box on the back.. I am in the Army and a SGT. I am stationed in Iraq for a couple of more months. So I use your x to shadow in my hopes for mine. Thanks

Section525, If I do the TT, and still use the 3" lift with it, how would I make up the difference in the back. Also if I do the TT, would I have to adjust the Caster/Chamber.

Yeah, I got that truck pictures too. All the soldiers who come in my truck ask me if that is my truck and I tell them that is not and it is a reminder of what mine is going to look like. Because mine is dark green. I heard about the BL, and it is from a ranger, but what I do not know is what year of ranger. And also I prefer that method over the TT. And yeah, your truck is in Iraq and has been for the past 5 months. Thats allot of miles to travel for an xplorer.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
Section525- I really like your X now that you did that body swap and everything.
96xplorer4oh- Thats cool that you have those pictures. And I can not wait until you get your X finished so I can see pictures.

Hey, can anyone tell me what year the Ranger body lift is for my 96 X is? And where can I buy the warrior shackles at? Should I regear with the 31x12.5's?:D
