302 swap Cyl #8 glowing?>

Getting my swap going for real now and i got the radiator in and fans hooked up and was warming it up to time it, and the #8 cyl makes that header pipe glow red? I havent gotten the exaust on it yet so the 02s arent in it. Is this something else besides an 02 issue or what? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Probably running lean in that cylinder. How does that spark plug look?

Its looking black like its rich?

Exhaust is coming so hopefully that is the issue with the 02 sensors. Ill post an update after its on and hopefully its not doing it

Wow is all i have to say about this motor.


I got the exaust on it and i figured it out it was not the 02 sensors it was actually the firing order. Apparently there are two firing orders one for HO's and non HO's.

It will run on both but fuel gets to #8 way later and causes it to run lean.
