Update 5/2/17

yikes... not a lot of updates... Got the new slave cylinder installed on the trans, got the flywheel and clutch installed on the engine. Next steps are to bleed slave cylinder and install engine, then just kinda piece it all back together.

Update 5/8/17 got the engine in place, and all the mounting bolts started. Took too much of my strategic patience reserves to get it fully bolted up, but it's good enough to hold through to next weekend.

update 5/16/17: got the engine installed, intake installed, and all the accessories installed

Had a minor disappointment: I had painted my spare valve covers with a decent looking silver metallic plastic paint... and promptly punched through one of them with a tool... I think was probably the chain hoist. So now it's got one silver and one black valve cover.

still to do: coolant system, sway bar, exhaust, install all the bumper stuff, charge up battery...

Update 6/19/17:

IT LIVES! I've got it running, but not well.

Between the past engine dumping coolant through the exhaust, the stale fuel, and I accidentally fuel-soaked them while I was motoring the engine, causing some spectacular backfires... The cats are shot. As in no power, bank 1 and 2 O2 low codes, 3 mpg levels of shot.
