4.0 sohc stall at startup but no fault codes

Hi everyone. Just joined recently. Obviously I need help from guys about my car sometimes hesitates or stall on start up. It does run smooth and never stall on full stop. I did replace fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor still the problem occur. I need some input from you guys before I bring my car to dealership and rob me with consent. Thanks

I just fixed the same problem with my 1999 SOHC. Mine was a leaking intake manifold gasket. I replaced the gaskets with a new set purchased from Advance Auto and the problem went away. Not too difficult of a fix, but it is a bit tedious. I followed the instructions for my Explorer with a subscription to ALLDATAdiy.com

You mean the lower intake or both? How did you found out it was your intake gasket. Im suspecting my ignition timing needs to be calibrated but I dont want to go that far yet. Thanks anyway.
