Hi. I am in the uk and have a 1996 4.0 ohv engine in my Explorer.
Although this engine is not the later one than suffered timing chain issues mine apparently has.
The garage has put a stethoscope on and says the front timing chain is causing the noise which was apparent on start up but is now making all sorts of weird noises particularly when the car is accelerating, at cruise it’s quiet with just a faint noise.
Does anyone know if their is anyone near York, north Yorkshire who can undertake the work?
