i have heard of rare timing chain issues.

did you loosen the tension on the belts and make sure all pulleys spin freely?
I didnt listen to the video though.

Good luck and interested to see what is wrong with.

i couldnt hear a thing man, describe the sounds to me.

Me neither - maybe a longer video would be helpful.

Have you checked out (carefully) the engine while running with an automotive stethescope? Seriously, you might be amazed how well one of these very cheap tools can pin point and focus a noise.

Your start up sounded exactly like mine (starter motor crankcing noise, time to catching, and initial run up to idle) with 101K miles and 7 years 4 mos. old.

for about a second i could hear something like marbles, right after the starter dis-engages, and before the RPM's come up to idle.
I'd guess timing chain, but i'd want to be 100%, a stethoscope should help.

Yes, that's the noise I'm talking about. It's there for a second or two and then goes away. Of course, it's more noticable in person than it is on a video. I'm going to try to get a clearer recording of it.

check ur serpentine belt/pullies.

I checked the serpentine belt and the pullies . No problems with them.

What about the torque converter?...I've read about problem with those making noise upon start up. Local tranny shop says there's an updated seperator plate for noise issues from the torque converter.

I don't think it's the TQ. I had it replaced two months ago.

was it making that noise before 2 months ago? if something was changed thats the first place i would be suspicious of
