We are getting an ice storm this weekend and I checked my 4 Hi yesterday - - - no light - no engaging - no luck and my Ford "dealer" service dept. told me that they have a spot for me Monday. She also told me that they normally don't keep 4 wheel drive parts on hand...?????????

Anyway - what could be the prob - I have a 7/100,000 warranty and I'm afraid if I try to fix it voids my warranty - any suggestions?

If you have no blinking 4wd lights or any engaging at all.. id reccommend checking all the fuses... maybe spend a few bucks and replace the switch. normally if theres an issue with the components somewhere you'll get the lights flashing in sync or something to indicate theres a problem.

another vote for fuses check both under the hood and the fuse compartment

If you have the 7/100000 warrantee that includes a rental car I would turn it in and get a rental. Just because the dealer is not ready to fix your truck does not mean that you still have to drive it. Turn it in and get the free rental.
