I have recently bought this exploder and before I try any 4dealin i thought I would ask a really good stupid question...

The truck came with NO manual and there is no sticker over the visor for the answer to my question...

Q. what is the process for switching into 4wd?

i.e. " hit button while driving forward below 35mph" etc...

I have a 92, automatic with two buttons on the dash - hi and low

secondary Q. do you have to roll bakards to disengage as well?

Its said that you can go into 4WD HIGH while driving up to a certain speed altho I never do.
You must stop put your trannie in netural with foot on the brake to put in 4WD LOW.
To disingage you must back up about 20'.

thanks!

Just to clarify, you need to press the 4Hi button first before pressing button for 4Low.

try knockin the shift motors with a hammer, it worked for me, just tap them lightly though so you dont damage them

if u have auto hubs you should back up 15 feet or so just to be sure they disengage
