4X4 Disengage...

I recently went wheeling through a bunch of water and mud...mostly water.

I did some hill climbing so I engaged "Low Range" every once in a while.

But while leaving i went to turn off low range and it wouldnt disengage. The "4x4" and "Low Range" lights stayed on.

I turned off my truck and restarded it and both the lights where off. But I was still in 4x4.

I cannot disengage "Low Range"

Oh...I know how to turn on "4X4" & "Low Range" and turn it off. Just it isnt working.



Is my 4x4 motor broken...the relay switch or whatever you call?

[Crankcase]

It sounds like your t-case shifter motor has some dirt or mud stuck in it to make it not disengage. Search for threads about "Transfer case motor stuck" or something to that effect.
