Transmission Buffs,
I posted this in a different section and was told I might find some advice here. I have a 2001 Explorer Sport and after some minor two wheel transmission gliches while going up a hill where the truck refused to gear down till I slowed down, the 4x4 electric switch on the dash suddenly won't work and my 4x4 warning light will not come on when I start the vehicle, like it supposed to. The truck still runs fine but the 4x4 is out and I have checked all the fuses etc. Could it be the electronic shift control module? It says its behind the passenger kick panel, which I guess is in front of the passenger seat? Any ideas
