4X4 Flashing, No Power Windows

I have a 95 XTL, all stock. Occasionally, my 4X4 and 4LOW lights blink 6X every 2 minutes and the power windows will not work.... This only happens when I restart it when it's already warmed up.. never on a cold start. It can last for a few minutes or a few hours... Everyone looks at me like I am speaking another language when ask them if they know what it is... there seems to be nothing in the code book for flashing 4X4 lights.... and the garage is never open when it happens...

Sounds GEM related.

The GEM is a computer module situated in the dash that governs the 4x4, power windows, and other things. It might be shorting out somewhere once it's up and running for a while. you might try switching it out with another one but it's a costly part.

Check your fuse.

When I got my windows tinted I pulled the fuse so no one would accidently roll the window down.
Any way, my 4X4 light came on and stayed on.

Put the fuse back in and every thing was normal

My truck has had a history of randomly blowing fuse #26. When is does this, the 4x4 lights flash, and I have nothing that involves a switch (interior lights, windows, sunroof, 4x4, etc). Replaced the fuse and it works again (until the fuse blows again without explanation...) Still haven't figured out this problem...
