4x4 high light flashing!

new to the forums and in need, live in canada and 4x4 is essential in winter, so we parked our truck for about 2 months, but my 4x4 light is flashing and 4x4 high isnt work, 4x4 low is working, abs light is not on, fuses 17,18 are good, any ideas? this week i will disconnect battery, but any idea what it can be?

I would check both the Transfer case ground and the 4X4 control module. The control module issue is mainly applies to 2002s, but does occasionally happen to other years.

4x4 High flashing

Mine was doing the same, it was the ground wire on transfer case. Very common problem. Instead of fixing it myself Ford Dealer did it and charged me $225. I was too lazy to do it that week.

well im not sure how the transfer case ground works but i hooked up the negative on the battery and connected it to the transfercase nothing happened, cleaned the sensors nothing, idk what to do but start replacing stuff

and what are the chances the internal clutch is shot?
