5.0 bad plugs

I cant seem to keep spark plugs in my 98 5.0 I had a set of Bosch +2 platnums that lasted MAYBE 10k and now a set of autolite plat's that went maybe 20k before the electrode got so worn that it causes a misfire and the CEL to come on. Color on the insulator isnt bad, a little on the burnt orange side. I replaced the wires when i put in the autolites, maybe thats why the went farther than the bosch? I always gap them. Its just kind of frustrating because they arent the easiest to change

I run copper & nothing but copper plugs. I have had zero luck with platinum plugs.

People are going to tell you to use Motorcraft plugs which are platinum as well.

I say get some Champions and you will be much happier.
