Who here has done this? I just blew up my 7th M5OD mazda tranny in my 96 sport so I'm looking at my options. 4 door explorers came with the optional 5.0 V8. So if I get the V8 out of an explorer with a wiring harness + a T-5 transmission, how much time does it involve to do the swap? Also how hard is it? What do I use for a throwout bearing since the T-5's are cable actuated? Also do the V-8 motor mounts bolt to the same locations as the V-6 or do you need to make new ones? Also what about the gagues? Would the V-8 computer work with my stock 96 gagues? Thanks for any info you can give me, I'm really in a bind since I don't have a drivable car.
