I recently did a set of plugs and wires and noticed the vacuum line coming from the intake behind the coil pack at runs to under the battery had a hole the length of my finger, after I finished the tune up I had to drive it to the part store to get the new line and I changed it. Now the truck runs pretty good but the throttle response is slow, and acceleration is horrible. I then unplugged the line leaving a open vacuum and it runs great, awesome throttle response and acceleration puts you back. I don'tmess with these fuel injected engines much (my hotrods have carbs) but im assuming it's running rich with the line connected, and it leans out when open with the extra air. Has anybody else had this problem? I did have the battery disconnected while replacing the line, and I haven't had a trouble code in over a month since I replaced the alternator (low amps from alt caused cam sensor code). Airfilter, and fuelfiter are also new. It has been starting kinda rough(the reason for the tune up) but it idles smooth both ways. Any help is appreciated as im new to this forum. I usually troubleshoot everything till I correct but its 30 degrees and rain outside

Maybe sucking fuel through the fuel pressure regulator.

Pull the vac line off the FPR should NOT have any gas in there.
