I recently received 2 round 5 1/2 speakers. I dont know where to put them cause the doors are ovals. I was thinking about just nailin some wood together, mounthing the speakers and throwing them under the back seat facing out. Any other tips?

You can purchase adaptor plates to mount the round speakers in the 6 x 8 oval door locations.

Good luck.....

You can make adapters too by using 3/4" Medium Density Fiberboard, removing the mounting bracket from the truck, tracing it onto the MDF, cutting out that piece, and then tracing the speaker onto the cut out piece of MDF and cutting out the hole for the speaker... Voila! You have adapters that cost you less than the ones you buy. This is, of course, assuming that you have the required tools to undertake such a project (a drill, a marker, a screwdriver and a jig saw)

wouldnt 3/4 in ch mdf be over kill?? i would think 1/2 inch would be plenty for tiny speakers??

Yeah... Either will work just fine. I just said 3/4" because that is what most people use.

oic

Or you could be really ghetto and just set them up on your dash. I saw one dude who did that. He said "I like to watch the round thingy bouce all around." I love stupid people, they make me feel so smart.
