Hey all, just found out today that the reason my manual took a dump was because of no fluid. I'm pretty sure the garage that did the clutch did somehting to it either drained it and didn't fill it up, or...something (the supposly checked the tranny fluid last summer hmmmm). Anyway the guy who has the tranny says that it can be rebuilt but (as my luck would have it) the parts are on backorder and will take 2-3 weeks....needless to say this isn't possible, I need my truck now. There is a junk yard that has a rebuilt tranny for $950.00. That's alot of money so I'm wondering about two things. Is 950.00 a good price? Or where might you go to look for parts that at least one supplier has on backorder. I was thinking of emailing Torrie at FPN tomorrow and see if he has rebuild parts that aren't on backorder. Anyway thanks for listening, hope to get some advice. Thanks all!
