Anyone know what the thread pitch is on a 5R55E transmission for the valve body bolts? I have one bolt hole that the first few threads are stripped where the bolt would pass through the valve body and thread into the tranny. There's lots of good threads left past those first two so I think if I can get the threads cleaned up then I should still be able to thread a bolt in there with the proper torque. I don't have a metric thread gauge though, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

count 10 threads and accurately measure the distance in millimeters.
divide by 10.

if 10 threads covered 7.5 mm its a .75m mm pitch

if 10 threads covered 10 mm its a 1mm pitch

if 10 threads covered 12.5mm its a 1.25 mm pitch

if 10 threads covered 15mm its a 1.5mm pitch

the diameter is simply measured in mm.

a typical bolt would be 10-1.25-30
where the bolt would be 10mm diameter, pitch of 1.25 mm between threads, length of 30mm.

Thanks guys, looks like a 1.0 is the closest thing. I appreciate the tips!
