Well Ive had some weird cutouts for no apparent reason. No heat or protection mode, just cut out. All connections were fine. Well it finally died last night, 20minutes into my 2.5hr ride from orlando to WPB.

Went to Sound Advice and they looked at it confirming it to be dead. I called the shop in Orlando that did the install and they said shipping costs would be on me, but Sound Advice said I would owe them nothing, not even shipping. Sound Advice has gained alot of my respect lately for helpin me out. Thank god for JLs warranty, hopefully Ill have it back soon!

Heck yea! One of the many benifits of buying high end stereo equipment, the manufacuturs stand behind every product :) Thats why I will never buy anything than high end again!

Ya man, 2 year warranty when bought from an authorized JL dealer AND they either do the install or ok the install and its proper use. I could have bought this amp for cheaper online, but if I had Id be paying more now buying a second amp already.

Mine stopped working too!

But since I bought from an authorized dealer, ANOTHER authorized dealer simply gave me a NEW one. when I told them my problem and produced a receipt. Soetimes it's worth the extra $50 for piece of mind.

the guy said at first they could just swap them out when JL was sending out only new ones for warranty (I think it was because they didnt have enough repaired ones to send out instead) so I have to wait. Hopefully I get a new one, and my 2 year warranty better start over from date of receiving the replacement.

Really weird listening to stuff with no lows at all. entire parts of songs are no longer there (like some drums or guitar). But on the other hand Ive taken the time to more fine tune my speakers now that I dont have to try and listen past all the bass.

JL is great with their warranties. but what's even better is that we dont have to send a lot of JL stuff back for warranty service. the only problem we had with a JL amp at work was a humming sound from a 300/4. other than that they have been very reliable.

I keep hearing about how good they supposedly are and everyone seems surprised it was fried after such a short time, and not running anywhere near full gain. But Im not surprised, I bought it afterall. I tell ya, if theres 3 POSs out there in a million good ones, Ill find all 4 of em, right in a row.
