I was going over some old micro-film govt. docs. today and they mention a specific sensor that Ford implemented on their first production flex fuel vehicle, which was said to be an '83-4 Escort. It was said that this vehicle had a sensor that monitored the amount of alcohol, speciffically methanol, that was blended with the gasoline. This allowed the engine management system to accomodate any fuel blend ratio. Can anyone tell me more about this? I need to know what vehicles (of any make) had them, and where I can get one. Thanks for any help.
