so i'm on my way to school this morning, about a 45 min drive....well i'm on the road for 10 mins....and suddenly i hear this pop/crack noise...and then steering gets all loose and frontend is bouncing like the shocks are blown.
so i pull over into a parking lot and take a look at the driver's side front which is sitting low and the bracket thats attached to the frame that holds the spring on the top along with the shock was rusted so badly that it broke nearly in half!!! so i turned around and went home and borrowed my dads truck.
Has anyone ever had this happen to them? How do you go about fixing it?
i'm guessin that I'll have to grind/drill the rivets out. get a new upper spring seat bracket, and then bolt it on.
Seeing how this is my only vehicle i'm gonna have to fix it quick so i can get it back on the road
