I have never removed the u joints, and I beleive they are OEM. Can someone get me a list of what I need to replace other than the joints on my 92 4x4 4 door auto explorer. I plan on doing this tonight after I get off work, and give me a brief walkthrough? Thanks!

Make sure you have the tools to take off the driveshaft and yoke. My 91 navajo needed a 12 point socket to take off the shaft, not a typical 6 side. You will also need a hammer, some pliers, a vice, and some kind of anvil.

check the thread by glacier on how to ball joints he shows you how to do the front axel u joints should give you a good idea what you need to do for the others

Yep I saw that one, this is my first U Joint job I just dont wanna screw it up

Keep in mind that the caps of the joints are rusted to the yoke, and pressing them out in a press will most likely result in bending the yokes. Use a hammer and a steel or brass drift to drive the out. The shock from striking the drift will transfer into the cap and break the rusted bond between the cap and yoke to make it easier to remove.
