The supply fuel line on my 92 Explorer is leaking back by the tank. It looks like the whole line should be replaced. I called a couple of dealers and they said it's no longer available. I also checked a couple of store and got the same response. Does anyone know if these are available and from where? I'd prefer not to go with a junk yard solution.

Any/all replies are appreciated.

thanks

A junkyard is your best bet, to be honest. As long as the couplers are in good shape and you fit them with new spring clips, and you flush them out real good, they should be as good as new. From what I understand, this is a common problem for northern X's.
However a alternative is to try to get someone to make some, maybe a hydraulic/ac hose building shop could help you out. Good luck.

It is very common for the fuel pump sender hard lines to rust out as they are just zinc coated steel. The sender's hard lines attach to the Stainless steel factory lines which shouldn't give you a problem... Are you sure it is the stock lines that are leaking?

I'm not sure it's the line since I haven't dropped the tank yet. I don't want to drop it until I'm sure I can get whatever parts I may need. I do realize that it could be the FP assembly unit which I know I can get for about $125. I was hoping that someone knew of a place that might have after market fuel lines for the Gen I Explorers.

i know this is probably way out of what you are trying to do, but see what it takes to convert the fuel system to be E85 compatable. New fuel lines i think are apart of the conversoin, this would be right up your alley. that way you could pay like 25cents cheaper for gas =)
