93 will not switch out of 4x4

hit 4x4 button the other day durring snow storm now it will not disingauge what should i look for,i took the switch out checked wirrering looked ok,also my wifes 2000 auto hubs she was in 4x4 also made some clucking noise when she went around a sharp turn at low speed is that normal,my 95 clunks in 4x4 at low speed and very tight turns also its not auto hubs.thanks for any help.

If the 93 is stuck in 4x4 (or sometimes won't go into 4x4) have someone hit the button as you tap on the 4x4 motor with a hammer. If it moves you know you need to rebuild your motor (usually it is just taking it apart and cleaning it).. Even if it doesn't move, that is a very common problem (motor get gummy inside)

If you are really in a bind you can take the motor off and rotate the shift lever by hand to take it out of 4x4 and back into 4x2.
