I recently bought a 94 Ex sport for 500 bucks:D. The Body is in great shape and she runs strong. The interior is a different story. IT IS DISCUSTING!!!!:censored: I’m not sure what color the carpet should be, it’s currently somewhere between brown and black. My question is has anyone here purchased and installed a new carpet kit? I have been doing some searching and I have found a few that cost around 100 dollars. I am wondering if the new kits go in really well and looks like a factory install. If not I would rather pull out the seats and do a good steam cleaning.

greetings

if you only paid 500 bux for the truck, i wouldn't bother sinking money into the interior unless it's absolutley beyond help. it might be a good idea to take it by a detail shop first and see what they tell you. you never know, they might be able to clean it up for cheap

I stopped by a shop and they told me it would be 75 dollars. If I add a tip to that and a few more dollars I could install a new carpet myself. The money is not a problem I am just concerned bout the install.

goto home depot and buy a gallon of "zep" commercial carpet cleaner.get a garden sprayer or handheld ...while the carpet is dry and out of the truck ,take the cleaner in undilutited form and spray it down really good and let it sit for 20 minutes then take the carpet to a car wash that uses "hot" soapy water and spray down the carpet really good .

don't laugh ...this really works ,it "can" make the worst carpet look new again .

I vote just gut the interior and cover it in truck bed liner! lol

No, I'm with the others here that say try and clean it. Believe it or not, you could get that carpet looking pretty good.

agreed...for $10 (includes the price of the cleaner and quarters for the wash) you can skip the $100 dollar mark and do it yourself for next to nothing .

Thanks guys! I will try to post before and after pics.

that's bs. you have "hot water" car washes? GAY!!!! lol. I understand now how it can get so clean, down here they're all cold water. Cheaper.
