94 Explorer V6 w/AC. I've searched the forums and found nothing describing my problem I have very little or no heat in the cab. All the cables are attached, but for some reason there is no vaccuum getting to the heater core bypass valve. Even if I use a vaccuum pump on the bypass valve and move it manually I still get no heat in cab, but the inlet and outlet house heats up. Is the vaccuum to the bypass valve also used for a valve that directs air over the heater core? If so where is this vaccuum line and how can I troubleshoot this? I just moved from Las Vegas to Illinois and it is freezing here.

I grew up in IL. damn cold there! Hey I just went through something similair with my heater. My deal was..no heat. When I moved the temp switch to red you could hear the flap move but no heat. Somebody told me to flush the heater core so I pulled the 2 heater hoses, flushed it with a garden hose and I was warm once again. But, if you can't hear your flap moving maybe this wont help you. Good luck!!

hey, same thing happened to me a year ago driving back to school in a huge blizzard. I took it in and the the mechanic said it was the blower that was messing up. All he did was smack it with a hammer or something and it became unstuck. He asked if I wanted to replace it for like 100 bucks but I just asked him to show me where he hit it. Since then it's happen once again but again smacking it did the traick for me. Hope it helps.
