94' Sport Manual - Shifting Problems

[G-Unit]

After engine is heated up all the way, Im having trouble shifting into 1st gear. I have to really force the stick in and there is a little crunching noise. Problem does not happen when engine is cold.

Any know what might be going on?

I have a 1994 with two door... I had the same problem before. Check your clutch adjustment... you could have a slave cylinder starting to go. Also check your transmission fluid level. Somehow I ended up with too much tranny fluid and it was stubborn like that. Let me know, I've had lots of fun with the 5 speed mazdas.

Sorry... I have a four door, TWO WHEEL DRIVE... and I mean i've had fun with 5 speed mazda transmissions... it's 1:20 am here and I'm tired
