95 Eddie fan speed

I've got a 95 Eddie. It has the electronic HVAC control w/ the digital screen. The dial, knob or whatever it is called on the right hand side of the HVAC to adjust fan speed only wants to work on max. Whenever you start to slow down the fan speed it shuts off until you roll the dial back to max. At first i thought it would be the HVAC dash unit. My friend said that it may be a relay.

Sorry for yet another post in the HVAC section. I am not new to car forums and i know the first thing people say is to use search. If i had the time to sit through 30+ pages then i would. :

problem could be ac high speed relay. local parts store stocks these. take in your old one though. 95 offered two different part numbers.

Hey '95 Eddie: i have a '98 ''Limited'' with ''climate control''(no knobs) and my blower worked on high only, it was the relay. The only place it was available was at a Ford dealership for $110(Canada), i got 1 in a scrapyard and it worked the same. It is located under the hood on the right side under the fan motor at the bottom of the plenum(plastic box that holds the fan). I had to take my cruise control off and unplug the washer bottle to get at it better. It takes about 1 hr and hope u have small hands, my fan works great now, hope this helps..plz let me know....Bill
