Does anyone have any recomendations on what to replace the air shocks with? Mine don't seem to be working very well (bumpy ride). Plus car looks uneven in the back

Curious, when the air shocks were new was it a comfy ride. If so why not replace with new air shocks?

new air shocks all around = $800...

Question - is the air ride system turned off? are you new to SUVs? what is the tire pressure?

I have a '95 limited w/ the air shocks - it is a bumpy ride b/c it is an SUV and I kept the tire pressure around 35. The air shocks tho provide the best possible ride for explorers.

If you DO get new shocks, you need to get ones w/ auto leveling in the back, b/c the rear air shocks also have a spring in them to help hold up the rear.

www.explorerexpress.com <- great stuff

also - might be uneven b/c of the gas tank... although the shocks SHOULD be leveling that out =P

air shocks on 95 limited

To answer the questions: I keep the air pressure in tires at 32# all around. No I am not new to suv. I had a 94 before this one which had a nicer ride. I have also riden in a 97 that also rides nicer. The switch is on. The car sits uneven and everytime I hit a bump in the road you can feel and hear it.
