Ok so searched quite a bit and need a couple of things that may already exist (and some feedback if you have seen this before)
1. The clutch is slipping reall bad.. I am getting up front quote of 750.00 for tow and replace clutch. <Shrug> not a bad price I think so probably will do that.
2. Alternatively is there a link for the steps to replace the clutch? (yeah I know rtfm but its not showing me very good detail)
3. just before calling the clutch shop, the driver/daugher says oh by the way its not staying in 4th gear either. Talking to friends and family mechanics, they say once it pops out it never stops.. I was hoping it might be the bad clutch causing it, but the consensus (ok small consensus pool of 2) is that its not the clutch but most likely a worn bearing on the shifter gear assembly or some such. Looking for others that have had a "not staying in gear" situation and what resolved it ..
