96 Eddie Bauer with 15" Rims?

Quick question: Was it possible to get a 96 Eddie Bauer with 15" rims?

Why I ask:
My 96 Eddie Bauer needs new tires. So, I go to some of the online tire purveyors and they say the original equipment tires are 255/70-16. The current tires (paid for by Ford/Firestone on my Explorer are currently 235/75-15. I checked several times. So, I'm just wondering if this means that the wheels were changed at some point or did some Eddie Bauers come with 15" rims or is the website incorrect?

my 98 awd limited came with 235/75 15's and my sisters 96 also came with 15's

my 97 limited v8 awd came with 15 inch as well

Apparently, the OEM equipment is on the sticker on driver's door. OEM was P235/75 R15.
