Being new to this vehicle I have a question about how the system works in 4x4 low. I understand how it works in auto mode but last night I put it in 4x4 low to run the front wheels up on ramps. The dash light lit up but when I tried to drive up onto the ramps it pushed one of the ramps forward as though the front wheels were not pulling. I do this all the time with my 93 Range Rover with no problem so some input here would be appreciated. Thanks

4low works like 4hi, the electromagnet is energized in both modes. I recommend a diagnosis of the 4wd system, but first I would determine whether or not a previous owner has done a brown wire mod.

Thanks for that info. I thought it should but nice to have it confirmed. There is no brown wire mod done on this one yet. I will probably do it later if I keep it. Pulled the rear axles last night and putting it back together today with new axle saver bearings. Discovered the brakes, rotors and pads are near new so that is good. Looking at the $15 kit available to take the play out of the 5 spd shift lever.
