97 Explorer Rear Wiper Issues...has me pulling my hair out.

I have been all over the internet and can't seem to find how to remove the rear wiper blade on my '97 Explorer. There looks to be a pin that needs to be removed that is held in place by some sort of clip that sort of has a star like shape to it.

But, alas, I can't seem to get it off and am afraid that the next time I try, I will just end up breaking the damn thing. Any suggestions?

Wish I could help but I am in the same boat. I pushed the tab that I though was to release it but it just won't come off. Good luck.

The explorer wiper just has a U shaped end . when you push the tab its just supposed to slide right off towards the wiper shaft. Maybe just needs some persuasion.
