In all my readings this is what I gather on the stock JBL rear sub.

1. It is 6.5" in diameter
2. It is rated at 8 ohms and 85 watts
3. A decent replacement can be purchased at Radio Shack for around $20

Are all of the items above correct? Any other suggestions wher I can purchase one for cheap as mine is blown?

Look around the net for a pyramid super pro. It's really the only aftermarket subwoofer that small that's actually built like a subwoofer. And they are not that expensive, maybe 30-35 bucks?

I replaced mine with an 8" Rockford Fosgate Punch subwoofer several years ago. To do this, I cut a bigger hole in the enclosure with a drywall saw. I sealed up any remaining mounting holes from the old speaker and used foam weatherstripping around the circumfrence to seal the new speaker (it needs to be airtight). It has been working well for about 2 years.
