97 sport runs like hell

I just had codes for both banks running lean got that takin care of but now it idles real rough and jerks between 1500 and 2000 rpms in any gear if anyone has experienced this please its been kicking my ass for about 3 weeks i have tested every sensor on that car

Have you had your throttle body replaced under the recall?

The throttle body recall was due to the throttle plate sticking closed on initial "tip in". When it sticks closed, it can result in the vehicle lurching as it breaks free. Once it breaks free it is usually good until the next time the vehicle is started. The recall doesn't have any bearing on how his engine runs at 1500 - 2000 RPM.

If the engine is running that badly, there should be codes still set. Have it rescanned to see if there are. What did you do to fix the lean condition?

Maybe it's the dreaded IAC valve again? Do a search for IAC and see the numerous results you get for it. It's a very common problem
