My 220K mile 98 5.0 sprung a leak. Looks to be leaking anti-freeze from behind the power steering pump. Looks like its coming from the front of the head or possibly the back of the timing cover. I need to rip into it and have a closer look but i was just wondering if there was any commend leak points in that area. Im afraid its a head gasket ill be replacing but wont know till i get some free time to investigate a little further.

Timing chain cover gasket is done.

thats what im hoping!

If all goes well plan on an afternoon job. Replace the water pump if you haven't before just to be safe. After 280k my gasket went. I replaced the timing chain as well it was not badly worn but a huge difference with the new one.
