98 airbag code 45

Our airbag light has been coming on blinking code 45. I we drive in the rain the light will not come on until everyrthing dries out. It seems like a bad connection. Can someone please let me know what the code means or what to look for?

I had something like that happen to me

Check under the passenger side seat for a yellow plug that leads no where. Take the end cap off the plug and blow in there hard, blow like you never knew you could blow. Then replace the cap...trust me it works

Guys appreciate the help. I made a typo. Our Exporer is a 1996. I have looked under both seats but didn't find a yellow plug that goes nowhere. I had pulled the seat out of the vehicle with no luck of a yellow plug.

I don't believe the 96s had these connectors.

I have an air bag scan tool, perhaps we could meet some where and I could lend you a hand.

Al is right too though. 96 did not have side bags even as an option.

Dover, PA is about 30 - 45 minutes north of the PA/MD line. I really appreciate the offer on meeting somewhere to give me a hand. This weekend is out of the question for me, I have relatives coming from out of town for the weekend. Maybe we can try for another time.
